Happy Sunday, everyone!

For all that don’t know, I joined the famous Twitter Writing Cohort Ship 30 for 30.

It’s a writing challenge that teaches you the fundamentals of writing online by writing 30 Atomic Essays in 30 days.

Since most of my attention will be focused on creating shorter-form content over the next month instead of building an in-depth article that takes me a week to write, I will be sharing 1 powerful insight I learn every Sunday to make you richer, fitter, or smarter.

Here is a powerful lesson I learned in the cohort itself:

The People Who Give the Most, Receive the Most

Want people to read your writing?

Then take some time to read other people’s writing, too!

The people who receive the most engagement, grow the fastest, and ultimately create their own niche/category, are the ones who give the most to others.

They:

  • Read other people’s work

  • Respond thoughtfully

  • Aim to get to know people

  • Make friends

  • Offer to help those who are struggling

As a result, the community rewards them back.

So don’t just be a consistent writer, but a consistent and engaged reader.

The reason is that every time someone engages with your work, that’s giving you a data point. That engagement is helping you learn what’s working, what’s not, what’s resonating, and what’s falling flat.

So if you ever think, “Why does nobody read my work?”

Ask yourself: “Am I being the type of person I wished other people would be for me?”

The people who give the most receive the most.

Simple as that.

Thanks for reading! 🙂

See you again next week!
