3 Mental Strategies You Can Use To Develop Self-Confidence

The biggest challenge for ambitious creators in their first year of business is not the competition—it’s the lack of self-confidence.
So I went out and distilled 3 mental strategies from best-selling authors in this space: Mark Manson, Corey Wayne, and Esther and Jerry Hicks.
Here's what they have to say:
Mental Strategy #1: Confidence is a perception you lack nothing.
It’s entirely rooted in our perception of ourselves. Confident people are comfortable with failure (they don’t “act” confident and overcompensate). How do you get comfortable with failure? Read mental strategy #2.
Mental Strategy #2: When you take action on the things you want to change, the way you LOOK at things CHANGE.
Confidence comes from taking action. The more you create, the more you send those DMs, the more you make sacrifices, the higher your likelihood of experiencing either a) an epiphany that shines the light on WHY you're doing or not doing what you're doing and b) seeing a result (because seeing results chips away of the negative self-perception we’ve developed about ourselves over the years). Little victories only happen if you refuse to give up and build something today.
Mental Strategy #3: Confidence comes from learning to trust the process.
Emotions are going to happen. Some days everything is going to go right. Some days you’re going to feel a lot of resistance. The key is establishing your daily bare minimums (priority tasks that you believe are easy enough to stick to over the long haul) to get that dopamine hit every day (because you’ve finished what you set out to do, you’ve made your promises).
Mental Strategy #4 (Bonus): Develop a self-confidence affirmation that combines your mental strategies so you don’t have to remember all this.
"I am happy with that which I am and that which I have, while simultaneously eager for more. I am equipped with everything I need now and for what is to come. No matter what, the right people, the right person, and the right circumstances are all going to be in my life."
